Yema Gbandiya

Biography:

Yema Gbandiya, who was in her early fifties or so at the time, was among the most competent of the younger Bom speakers we interviewed. Her recordings exhibit a quiet wit and generosity. She remembered speaking only Bom in her Sande initiation, and both her parents spoke only Bom.
